DID YOU KNOW By Mariette Kammerer

No, I did not know. Maybe just a little . Colors are very personal and have various affects on individuals. I have worn black for so many years in my life, I am tired of it and believe I can feel and look just as elegant, sexy in a yellow suit or dress. The cut is important, yellow also makes me feel powerful, playful, elegant. BLACK GOES IN TRASH SOON.

I also see it  how certain color have new meaning to me, so I believe nothing is really set in stone and that we change as life goes on. In younger years I would love brown and orange in the bedroom(very disgusting now) and black, grey and magenta in the living area. I think we go through phases….but I never felt that a ‘grey’ color is staleness + depression. Look at the colors explained as a fun conversation only.

Black: Sophistication, elegance, seduction, mystery, sex, banishment, binding, protection, evil
Blue: Trust, reliability, belonging, coolness, tranquility, peace, calm, wisdom, justice, depression, understanding, patience, loyalty, sincerity, honor
Brown: Earthy, conservative, protective, constructive, hard-working, solid
Copper/Bronze: Love, passion, friendship, sex
Gold: Prestige, expensive, elite, authority
Green: Nature, fresh, cool, growth, abundance, rejuvenation, recovery, healing, harmony, balance, peace, hope, jealousy, envy
Grey: Neutrality, staleness, depression
Magenta: power, magnetism, spiritual power
Orange: Playfulness, warmth, vibrant, encouragement, luck, kindness, stimulation, optimism, abundance, success, independence, sensual
Pink: Soft, sweet, nurturance, security, tenderness, peace
Purple: Royal, spirituality, dignity, divination, inspiration, meditation, compassion
Red: Passion, energy, excitement, danger, speed, impulsive action, stimulation, assertiveness, aggression, strength, sex, revolt, war
Silver: Prestige, cold, scientific, stability
Turquoise: Intuitive, insightful, inventive, original, renewal, change
White: Pure, virginal, clean, youthful, mild, peace, truthfulness, enlightenment
Yellow: Warmth, cheer, happiness, vitality, change, progress, clarity, communicativeness, affirmation.

I look at yellow now as a power color, that is new with me and I don’t have a stitch of yellow in my closet. That will change. I would love to get your feedback, send me your comments below. CHEERS!
