“The Paycheck Wasn’t the Problem”
I had a solid job in IT—good benefits, no drama. But every day felt like a copy of the last. I wasn’t unhappy, but I wasn’t alive either. I didn’t want to quit, I just wanted to feel something.
So I started volunteering on weekends at an animal shelter. One day a week, I was covered in fur and purpose. It gave the rest of my week a reason. That one small shift cracked open a part of me I’d forgotten.
Advice: If your job is steady but your spirit’s asleep—wake it up with something that matters.
